Super-easy, cheesy sausage rolls

Three ingredient snack food recipe coming up.

Gather ready-made puff pastry, sausages and some grated cheese from your nearest grocery store and turn it into these sausage rolls.

Five minutes preparation time, 15 minutes cooking time and you have a 'homemade', filling and tasty snack or lunch if served with salad or vegetables.

These sausage rolls are totally kid-friendly and could be served at a party or as 'in front of the TV' snacks during the football.

What you'll need

1 packet of puff pastry, approx 250g (from your supermarket fridge section)
15 sausages
1 cup grated cheese of your choice. I used Gouda.

What to do

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Lined a large, flat baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

Lay out the piece of pastry onto a flat, clean surface. Gently slice the pastry into 15 long slices, approximately 4cm wide and about 30 cm long.

Take one sausage in your hand, carefully squish about a tablespoon of cheese onto the top of it.  Now carefully wind each piece of pastry around each sausage, beginning at one end and wrapping to the other end. You can leave a little bit of each sausage poking out each end. Some of the cheese will fall out, but don't worry. Repeat with the remaining sausages.

Place on the oven tray and put into the preheated oven for 15 minutes, until the pastry is brown and sausages cooked.

Once cooked, remove from the oven and serve immediately with some tomato sauce/ketchup and some salad or vegetables if desired..
